Deborah Hutchinson founder, president, and CEO made the choice in1998 to establish the Best-Of-The-Best (BOTB) a competitive Bid Whist tournament group of players throughout and around the Atlanta area. Throughout her 20+ years of leading, organizing, and recruiting bid whist clubs and organizations around the world can use the strong foundation in which she leaves the BOTB standing. There are many words and thoughts which have come to the minds of the lives in which Deborah has touched.     

Faced with the unfortunate adversities of life and dealing with health issues, Deborah always found it in her heart to GIVE monetarily! She has shown her GIVING SPIRIT when establishing the Best-Of-The-Best, and successfully for many years by providing giveaways, trophies, banquets, jackets, her time, and more. From a small container of various coins, to high quality black jackets with engraved gold letters, and monetary donations to those who were ill or a family member who passed away, she never hesitated to GIVE monetarily. Deborah paid for all of the BOTB expenses out of her own monies graciously! There are not many you can find today, like Deborah, who have this “UNCONDITIONAL SPIRIT OF GIVING!” This makes her a most unique woman, and one to whom should be admired and treasured by all.     

The BOTB Bid Whist players are deeply saddened to see such an extraordinary woman such as Deborah would no longer be amongst the bid whist community. She has left us with a strong example of the criterion in which it is required to carry on her legacy: 

• Communication skills - clearly articulating and bringing numerous ideas to ensure the BTOB always is challenging, fun, and most of all demonstrates integrity 

• Organization – task oriented and pays attention to details.  

• Managing – supervised with openness and a no-nonsense attitude keeping players in alignment which ensured the integrity of the BOTB was maintained.

• Performance – Ensuring the BOTB maintained high standards by throwing formal “Award Banquets,” awarding top notch trophies, and many other give-a-ways she provided throughout the years for various skill challenging ideas she came up with to make tournaments more fun and aggressive as possible. 

• Financial – Her dedication, commitment, and loyalty to the BOTB was shown for over 20+ years as you willingly came out of her own pocket to make sure the tournaments, and all it entailed met her high level of standards.   

As we move forward without one of the best we look forward to remembering her, and keeping her legacy alive and strong!
